Is a standard developed by DairyNZ in conjunction with Massey University to have a system that offers consistency when evaluating Dairy Effluent disposal and storage in compliance with Resource consent conditions and regional plan guidelines.
Comprised of visual assessments of drainage assets, dairy shed facilities, storage facilities and irrigation hardware as well as an effluent irrigation assessment, the DairyNZ WoF assessment is a great way to confirm and support compliance with Regional council consent criteria.
First Base Environmental is proud to announce we have teamed up with Tim Campbell of Campbell Water Design Ltd to carry out effluent application checks to confirm and/or monitor the functionality of systems used to irrigate fields with effluent in accordance with resource consent conditions.
With the current scrutiny the farming sector are under and the pressure to prove compliance with effluent disposal, Irrigation systems are key sources of non-compliance, often through poor maintenance. Irrigation systems can easily be assessed and checked for the actual application compared to the resource consent conditions.
Murray and Greig have been certified assessors by QCONZ since 2017 as promoted and supported by DiaryNZ.
Now First Base has partnered up with Campbell Water Design, we now have direct access to industry recognised design and efficiency improvements and knowledge that will get the most out of your effluent irrigation systems. This will ensure you can maximise productivity and irrigation and stay consent compliant.
This is particularly useful when seeking consent re-issue and having an ability to prove your system is not only compliant, but you can prove you continue to remain compliant throughout the consent and not just the days before issue.
Should you have queries about anything to do with irrigation of water or effluent, please reach out and if we cant help you directly, we will contact Campbell water Design Ltd to contact you directly.
If you’d like to hear more or chat about your options – please give Greig or Murray a call.
